The Scrum Impediment

An impediment is any hindrance or hurdle that reduces the productivity of the Scrum Team.

A good scrum master is there to help the team openly raise and discuss impediments and then facilitate the reduction or removal of them. I often like to use circles of control to help the team identify empowerment opportunities and signal support areas.
