What is a Backlog?

Today’s #minutewithmarcus comes from a really interesting question I got last week on the Backlog. A backlog is an ordered, prioritized list of work to be done by the Team. The Product Owner is responsible for the curation of the Backlog. For me I use backlogs everywhere, from my product development, to training courses to my weekend chore list. My life would be some random guess at what I need to do without them.
My interesting question was that backlog is a negative connotation and some executive business stakeholders view them as a list of things that should have been done. I think I’ve got a good idea on what I might need to do, but I’d love to hear from you as my followers if you’ve encountered this before and what might you do about it? If this #minutewithmarcus has enlightened you, reach out with your question or to book your complimentary 30 minutes with Marcus #coaching #teams #personaldevelopment #technology #businessagility
